In the market of food wheat there were price trends of different orientation. Stock market prices have strengthened due to fears about the wheat harvest in the Black Sea region. At the same time, the currency prices of export-oriented companies in Ukrainian ports did not change significantly.
Reduced competition from exporters has contributed to some extent to an increase in supply. The minimum demand prices of processing enterprises decreased by 300–350 UAH/ton, and prices are announced in the range of 5400–6300 UAH/ton, taking into account the cost of delivery.
Currency prices in ports remain within Tuesday – 195–202 USD/ton, CPT port.
Hryvnia prices in ports decreased on average by 50 UAH/ton, to 6150–6450 UAH/ton, depending on the port.
- It is possible that further gradual increase in grain supply, which will contribute to lower prices.
In the feed wheat market there was a decrease in purchasing activity, which was due to the availability of the necessary volumes of grain in the majority of processing enterprises and some export companies.
Prices of processing and livestock enterprises decreased by an average of 100 UAH/ton and are in the range of 5350–6150 UAH/ton, CPT enterprise.
Currency prices announced by exporters remain in the previously formed range of 190–197 USD/ton, CPT port. In some cases, prices are fixed at 198 USD/ton, CPT port.
Hryvnia prices of companies are announced in the range of 6000–6400 UAH/ton depending on the port.
- Reducing purchases by processing companies and exporters, against the background of a moderate number of proposals, will help reduce prices.
In general, the market maintained previously formed price trends and moderate trading activity. At the same time, some grain sellers reported an increase in selling prices for feed barley.
Processing plants, which needed to replenish grain stocks, were forced to adjust demand prices. All changes took place within the price range formed earlier – 4150–4950 UAH/ton.
Price ranges in ports have not changed significantly since Tuesday – 160–165 USD/ton and not more than 5300 UAH/ton, CPT port.
- The number of grain offers will gradually decrease.
- Prices will vary in previously formed ranges.
Prices for feed corn have strengthened since Tuesday. This fact was due to high demand for grain, while the number of proposals was estimated as low.
Prices of processing enterprises, taking into account the cost of delivery do not exceed 5350 UAH/ton. Currency prices strengthened by an average of 1–2 USD/ton and are in the range of 160–171 USD/ton, CPT port.
Hryvnia prices have increased by an average of 50 UAH/ton and are in the range of 5200–5450 UAH/ton.
- Prices will continue to rise, given the high demand for grain.
