In Dnepropetrovsk and Zaporozhye regions, the harvesting campaign for corn and sunflower was suspended due to rains. This led to an increase in prices for agricultural products.

“According to the latest data, about 30% of the areas under corn and 10% under sunflower remained uncollected. The remaining part of the crop is in the fields, which leads to further moisture accumulation”

Against the background of the shutdown of the harvesting company and problems with the logistics chain, corn prices rose to 8150-8200 UAH/t CPT. Despite the increase in prices, there are no active sales.

Also, due to the shortage of offers, prices for sunflower increased to 19000-20200 UAH /t on the terms of the DAP plant.

“Despite the increase in tariffs for drying at elevators in Ukraine, most of the grain goes to elevators, since unloading at ports is slow and not all terminals provide cleaning and drying services”

Experts noted that farmers are trying to sell grain in batches, not in large lots, in order to cover the current financial needs.
