Wheat yield in Ukraine is only increasing every year. The domestic market of the country does not need such large volumes of products, therefore, part of the grain crops is sold in foreign markets.

Luhansk region is famous for its agricultural culture. And especially this region has a high yield of feed wheat. This group of grain is intended for animal husbandry and is not used in the food sector.

The purchase price for feed wheat in the Luhansk region is one of the highest in Ukraine. This type of grain has a number of advantages, including the presence in the composition of 11-15% protein, a high composition of vitamins B and E.

The formation of prices for feed wheat for farmers depends on various factors. Compliance of products with all basic characteristics helps the farmer to sell wheat in the Luhansk region at a favorable price.

“G.R. Agro” is ready to help the domestic manufacturer in the effective sale of their own products.

What determines the cost of wheat

The formation of the value of wheat depends on a large number of factors, including:

  • situation on the world market;
  • weather conditions in Ukraine and exporting countries;
  • yield;
  • supply and demand;
  • political situation.

From these factors, prices are formed in the market. And for the farmer, the cost of wheat depends on the basic characteristics, including:

  • Humidity level. As well as temperature, moisture levels play an important role during grain storage. Failure to comply with the standards leads to a deterioration in the quality of products, and its reduction in price.
  • The presence of impurities. According to existing standards, the presence of weed (5%), mineral (1%), grain (up to 15%) impurities is allowed. Exceeding this indicator, the presence of a large amount of stones, burnt grains, and other types of grain crops in the production complicates the process of cleaning wheat and worsens its quality characteristics. And this leads to a deterioration in the marketable type of wheat and its reduction in price.
  • Uniformity. Visually, the wheat grains should look uniform, have the same shape and size depending on the variety. Otherwise this will indicate the mixing of different types of wheat and will worsen the presentation of the product.
  • Color. Must match the wheat variety. Deviations are allowed depending on from the type of drying.
  • Wheat smell. It should be pleasant and reminiscent of the scent of straw. Availability the smell of rot or staleness may indicate improper storage of wheat with a high level of moisture.

How to profitably sell wheat in the Luhansk region

Many farmers focus on the processes associated with growing wheat, but getting a good harvest does not guarantee profitable sales. After the end of the harvesting campaign, the farmer must find a buyer in a competitive environment and choose the offer that will be most profitable.

The price for the purchase of wheat in Ukraine does not always allow the farmer to get the maximum profit, and in such a situation, the profitability rarely exceeds 30-40%.

“G.R. Agro” is ready to help the domestic manufacturer. To achieve this goal, we recommend:

  • choose the right period for implementation;
  • do not sell the entire volume of products at once;
  • analyze prices for wheat in the world market.

Due to the lack of demand in the market, it is possible to buy wheat in the Luhansk region at a low cost during the harvest period. Not all domestic producers take risks and seek to sell their crops immediately after the end of the harvesting campaign. In this case, for 1 ton of wheat, they can lose from 20 to 40 dollars.

From year to year, from January to March, there is an increase in the cost of wheat, but in order to wait for the period of price growth, it is necessary to take care of the storage of products. If stored improperly, the grain crop can lose its presentation, and the farmer will incur even greater losses. “G.R. Agro“ are ready to offer favorable terms of cooperation and affordable tariffs for elevator services.
