Basic indicators of the quality of rapeseed

Purchase prices for the main crops are indicated on condition that the product meets the basic quality indicators.

Quality indicators of rapeseed on the elevators G.R. Agro:

• Humidity,% – no more than 8.0
• Weed admixture,% – no more than 2.0
• Erucic acid,% – no more than 2.0
• Glucosinolates, mmol / g – no more than 25
• Mass fraction of oil per crude substance,% – not less than 42
• Oil impurity,% – no more than 8
• Without GMO.  Contamination by pests or quarantine objects is not allowed.

Analysis of rapeseed quality is carried out on the basis of the following properties:

– organoleptic – color, smell and taste, which are determined by the senses,

– physical – determine the size of the grain, its fullness, density, weediness and infestation,

– chemical – moisture, acidity, the presence of glucosinolates, etc.

According to the main quality indicators of rapeseed, its commercial suitability is determined – an export consignment or sale to the domestic market.

Domestic processors almost do not participate in the process of price formation for rapeseed, since almost the entire volume of the crop goes to the world market.
